Hastelloy C-22 wire mesh corrosion resistance and main use environment:
C-22 alloy, by virtue of the content of Cr, Mo, W and the control of Fe content, exhibits the characteristics of both oxidizing acid and reducing acid corrosion resistance, and also has corrosion resistance to mixed acids. This alloy is particularly suitable for resisting pitting and crevice corrosion in acidic halide environments. C-22 nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy, like C-276, contains tungsten and extremely low levels of carbon and silicon. It also has the same characteristics: 1. It has excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media in both oxidized and reduced states; 2. It has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
C-22 alloy is an all-around nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy with better overall corrosion resistance than other existing nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys, including C-276, C-4 alloy and 625 alloy. C-22 alloy has good resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. It has excellent resistance to oxidizing aqueous media, including wet chlorine, nitric acid or mixed acids containing oxidizing acids with chloride ions. At the same time, C-22 alloy also has ideal resistance to reducing and oxidizing environments encountered in the process. Relying on this versatile performance, it can be used in some troublesome environments or in multi-purpose plants. C-22 alloy has an exceptional resistance to various chemical environments, including strong oxidizing substances such as ferric chloride, cupric chloride, chlorine, hot contaminated solutions (organic and inorganic), formic acid, acetic acid, CU anhydride, seawater and salt solutions.
