Screen types, functions and national standards GB/T

Screens are divided into three categories according to the raw materials used: silk screens, metal wire screens and synthetic fiber screens.
1. Silk screens are made of mulberry silk of different deniers according to the specifications, and are woven with full hank yarn, half hank yarn or plain weave. The weaving method is similar to mesh cloth.

2. Metal screens are woven with brass wire, phosphor bronze wire and stainless steel wire. The wire thickness is 0.4-0.025 mm. Most of them adopt plain weave or twill weave. The metal screen has clear and correct holes, flat surface, high temperature resistance, wear resistance and other characteristics. Stainless steel screen can also resist corrosion. Therefore, metal screens are mostly used for powder screening and oil filtering.

3. Synthetic fiber screens are available in two types: nylon or polyester filament and brown. Filament uses 15-30 denier monofilament, and the surface of the screen mesh is smooth, which is conducive to filtering. The fabric structure can be full twisted yarn, square flat and plain weave, etc., with specifications of 19-104 holes/cm. It is mostly used as printed silk screens, integrated circuit printed circuit boards, and can also be used to screen finer particles such as cathode ray tube fluorescent powder and magnetic powder of magnetic tapes.
Brown silk screens use coarse nylon brown silk as raw materials, with a diameter of 0.55-0.1 mm. The fabrics are mostly plain mat-shaped structures, which are used for mineral processing, filtering pulp, conveyor belts, etc.
Synthetic fiber screens have the characteristics of no rust and corrosion resistance, and can replace some metal screens.
Screens are a large classification of mesh products made by weaving metal wires, punching and stretching metal plates, and certain technical methods.


The four functions of the screen are: screening, filtering, protection and consolidation.
Screening: Mainly used in metallurgy, coal, rubber, petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, automobile, ceramic, glass and other industries for solid particles, powder, screening, etc.
Filtering: Mainly used in the petroleum industry as mud nets, chemical fiber electroplating industry as pickling nets and liquid gas filtration and purification, etc.
Protection: Mainly used in civil construction batching cement, raising chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits and zoo fences. Protection of mechanical equipment, highway guardrails, stadium fences, road green belt protection nets.
Consolidation: Can be used in the construction industry, highways, bridges as steel bars and skeleton support, etc.
