Introduction to Stainless Steel Rolled Orifice Plate Corrugated Packing
1. Product Introduction:
Orifice plate corrugated packing is a regular packing made by punching holes on the surface of a metal sheet, rolling dense grooves, punching corrugations and finally assembling them. It has the characteristics of low resistance, uniform gas-liquid distribution, high efficiency, large flux, and insignificant amplification effect. It is used in negative pressure, normal pressure and pressurized operations.
Orifice plate corrugated packing and wire mesh corrugated packing are both called corrugated packing. Orifice plate corrugation is just a change in the wire mesh material of the mesh wave to a perforated plate with grooves on the surface and maintains the geometric size of the mesh corrugation. It was first developed abroad by Swiss Sulzer Company and American Koch Company and is called Julapak packing. Shanghai Research Institute of Chemical Industry in China has already completed basic experiments and put it into industrial application, and achieved satisfactory results.
The orifice plate corrugated packing increases the hydraulic diameter and the gap by maintaining the geometric size of the mesh corrugation. It has the advantages of large flux, small resistance, high efficiency and strong anti-pollution ability, and is suitable for normal pressure and high pressure countercurrent absorption processes. It can replace some random packing and tower plates, which will have obvious economic effects on improving product quality and saving energy. Compared with ball rings, the load is increased by 50%. When the flux is the same, the height of the same plate is about 1/2 lower. The pressure drop of each theoretical plate is reduced from 1/3 to 1/8. The efficiency of the 250y plate corrugated packing with a tower diameter of 10 inches is the same as that of the tower diameter of 33 feet. The amplification effect is not obvious, there is no dead corner, and the pollution sensitivity is poor. The height of the same plate is usually only 1316 inches, so the flux is large. Compared with the mesh plate corrugation, under the same F factor, the theoretical number of plates per meter of the orifice plate corrugation is only more than half of the mesh plate corrugation, and the pressure drop per meter of the packing is about 50% higher. However, due to the large hydraulic diameter of the orifice plate corrugation, the production capacity is 20% higher and any pollution has little effect on the pressure drop. In addition, the plate wave packing is not very sensitive to installation and allows the use of simple distributors. The orifice plate corrugation is used in organic distillation with pressure above medium vacuum (100 mbar) and pollution risk. The reflux ratio is reduced by 18% compared with the ball ring, and the production capacity is increased by more than 50% (up to doubled). The purity of the top product is increased from 68% to 95%, and the bottom product is increased from 97% to 985%. The bottom pressure is reduced, the product quality is improved, the tower efficiency is improved, and the reflux ratio is reduced to save energy, which has significant economic benefits. It is used in the absorption process of high liquid volume under normal pressure and high pressure, and is used for the absorption of fouling-prone systems such as carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, chlorine, and chlorine dioxide, and desorption towers under high liquid load; carbon dioxide desorption, seawater degassing, and bicarbonate decomposition. Another important application is the transformation of packed towers and plate towers. The sieve plate in the ethylbenzene/styrene separation tower is modified to make its resistance drop only 1/4, the kettle temperature is only 83 ℃ (down 21 ℃), the polymerization rate is reduced by five times, the theoretical plate is increased by 25%, and the separation effect is significantly improved. Under the same final concentration, the reflux ratio is reduced from 9 to 65. The processing volume is increased or 70% steam demand is reduced by 25%, achieving significant results in increasing production and energy saving. For the absorption process, it replaces the packed tower plate tower, and the flux and separation capacity can be increased. The pressure drop is reduced, the pressure drop is the same, the separation capacity is the same, and the processing volume is increased by 30% compared with the ball ring. In heavy water separation, water distillation is used instead of wire mesh packing.
