1. Plain weave: Each warp wire crosses up and down each weft wire, the warp wire and the weft wire are of the same thickness, and the warp and weft wires are at a 90-degree angle.
2. Twill weave: Each warp wire crosses up and down every 2 weft wires, and each weft wire crosses up and down every 2 warp wires.
3. Dense weave: The wire diameters of the warp and weft wires are different, and the mesh counts are also different. The characteristics are that the warp is sparse and the weft is dense, and the warp is coarse and the weft is thin. The length direction is the warp wire, and the width direction is the weft wire. Dense weave is divided into mat-type plain weave and mat-type twill weave.
4. Mat-type twill weave: Each warp wire crosses up and down every 2 weft wires, and each weft wire crosses up and down every 2 warp wires.
5. Double-wire Dutch weave: This weave is very similar to the twill Dutch weave, with two wefts that can be stacked closely with the warp. This type of wire cloth is mostly used for filtering at the micron level.
6. Five-harness weave: This type of weave uses several separate wires instead of single wires for warp and weft. This type of weave provides a stronger and more powerful stainless steel wire cloth based on the twill weave.
Uses of stainless steel wire mesh: used in mining, petroleum, chemical, food, medicine, machinery manufacturing and other industries. Steel wire that is resistant to corrosion by weak corrosive media such as air, steam, and water and chemically corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, and salts is also called stainless acid-resistant steel wire. In practical applications, steel wire that is resistant to corrosion by weak corrosive media is often called stainless steel wire, while steel that is resistant to corrosion by chemical media is called acid-resistant steel wire. Due to the difference in chemical composition between the two, the former is not necessarily resistant to corrosion by chemical media, while the latter is generally rust-resistant. The corrosion resistance of stainless steel wire depends on the alloy elements contained in the steel wire. Chromium is the basic element that makes stainless steel wire corrosion-resistant. When the chromium content in steel reaches about 12%, chromium reacts with oxygen in the corrosive medium to form a very thin oxide film (self-passivation film) on the steel surface, which can prevent further corrosion of the steel wire matrix. In addition to chromium, commonly used alloying elements include nickel, molybdenum, titanium, niobium, copper, nitrogen, etc., to meet the requirements of stainless steel wire organization and performance for various uses.
