Common terms
: crack: longitudinal cracks, cracks, and splits on the surface of steel wire.
Pull-out (burring): Small horizontal cracks visible to the naked eye appear on the surface of the steel wire, showing tongue-shaped or other shaped burrs
. Delamination: Local or full-length splits appear in the longitudinal direction of the steel wire.
Scars (spot scars): Yellow oxidation scars and white lime scars appear on the surface of the steel wire
. Pull marks: Obvious small grooves or ridges appear in the longitudinal direction of the steel wire surface. Minor ones only make the surface appear rough and shiny.
Folding: Metal overlap appears on the surface of the steel wire along the length direction. It is often in a straight line, but it can also be curved or zigzag. During metallographic inspection, there are usually iron oxide inclusions and decarburized layers in the folds.
Concave surface: local depression on the surface of steel wire.
Rust: local and overall oxidation phenomenon occurs on the surface of steel wire.
Pit: pits distributed in dot or sheet shape appear when the surface of steel wire is severely oxidized. Bamboo
knot: the steel wire is uneven in thickness along the longitudinal direction, and its shape is beautiful like bamboo knot.
Spiral pattern: the spiral roller mark appears on the surface of steel wire during the straightening process.
Oxide scale: the surface of steel wire oxidizes when it contacts with high-temperature oxidation furnace gas, forming a hard and fragile oxide layer.
Oxide film: a thin layer of dense oxide is formed on the surface of steel wire. This oxide is generally not easy to break and can only be partially peeled off when it is bent or deformed.
Oxidation color: a very thin layer of oxide tightly attached to the surface of steel wire is formed on the surface of steel wire under the condition of bright heat treatment.
Decarburization layer: the area where the carbon content of the surface layer is reduced due to the action of gas medium and carbon in the steel layer when the steel wire is heated. This phenomenon of reduced carbon content on the surface is called decarburization.
Graphite carbon: part or all of the carbon in steel is precipitated in a free state. This kind of carbon in a free state is graphite carbon.
Crease: the mesh surface is partially folded, forming an irreversible mark. Hole
: there are multiple broken wires of warp or weft concentrated on the mesh surface. Rust
: corrosion and deterioration on the mesh surface,
rust spots: small spots of green, brown or different colors appear on the mesh surface,
broken wires: the warp or weft on the mesh surface is broken.
Mosquito mouth: the metal wire is looped, tangled, and the mesh surface is empty.
Top buckle: the warp joint is poor and pushes out of the mesh surface. Weft shrinkage
: the weft is partially bent and the mesh is deformed.
Parallel wire: two or more metal wires are woven together in parallel.
Skipped Threads (Shuttle Jumps): The warp or weft is interwoven incorrectly.
Loose Threads: Individual warp or weft is loose and displaced.
Weaving In: Foreign objects are woven into the net.
Cloud Weave: The weft is too soft or uneven in hardness, resulting in an irregular cloud-like net pattern.
Bulge: The net surface bulges in a certain area. Double
Threads: The warp or weft overlaps. Large and Small Holes: The mesh holes on the net surface are uneven in size.
Sparse and Dense: Individual mesh holes on the net surface are suddenly too large or too small.
Loose Edge: The edge of the net is bulging in a wavy shape.
Wire diameter - the diameter of the wire;
warp - all longitudinal weaving wires;
weft - all transverse weaving wires; mesh -
the number of mesh holes in 1 inch length;
density - the number of mesh holes in 1 cm length.
Mesh - the distance between two warps or two wefts. Tolerance
- when the heald is flat, the vertical distance between the warp and the tolerance line at the heald piece (MM).
Common line - the line connecting the front and rear chest fruits (rollers)
. Tolerance - when the heald is flat, the warp at the heald piece is higher than the tolerance line.
Tolerance - lower than the tolerance line is called the lower tolerance.
Zero tolerance - coincidence with the tolerance line is called zero tolerance.
Heald angle - the distance between the upper and lower healds after the heald frame is opened. Flat angle
- (angle change time) - when the heald is flat, the distance between the reed and the long weft point.
