Inconel wire mesh types, grades and uses

Inconel wire mesh is also known as inconel high temperature wire mesh, inconel screen mesh, inconel filter mesh, inconel woven mesh, and inconel square hole mesh.
Inconel wire mesh grades: inconel600, inconel601, inconel625, inconel718, inconelX750, etc.
Uniform corrosion of inconel products can occur in acidic or hot alkaline solutions. Losses through this mechanism can be expected and allowed in the design. The corrosion rate of inconel products is very slow when the metal is in a passive state, and generally the corrosion resistance is better with larger chromium content, but other solutes can be harmful.
 
The high nickel content of inconel600 makes the alloy very resistant to chloride stress cracking corrosion, and it can maintain its high corrosion resistance in a reduced state and has strong corrosion resistance in alkaline solutions. At the same time, because it contains chromium, its corrosion resistance in an oxidizing environment is better than that of pure nickel.

Inconel600 application areas:

Inconel601 wire mesh material is an alloy material. It has excellent oxidation resistance at high temperature, good carburization resistance, good oxidation resistance in sulfur-containing atmosphere, good mechanical properties at room temperature and high temperature, and good stress corrosion cracking resistance. Due to the control of carbon content and grain size, 601 has a higher creep rupture strength, so 601 is recommended for use in areas above 500°C.

Inconel 601 Corrosion Resistance:
An important property of 601 alloy is its oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 1180°C. Even under very harsh conditions, such as heating and cooling cycles, 601 can form a dense oxide film and obtain high spalling resistance. 601 has good carburization resistance. Due to its high chromium and aluminum content, 601 has good oxidation resistance in high-temperature sulfur-containing atmospheres.

Inconel625 wire mesh alloy is a solid solution strengthened nickel-based deformation high temperature alloy with molybdenum and niobium as the main strengthening elements. It has excellent corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, good tensile and fatigue properties from low temperature to 980℃, and is resistant to stress corrosion in salt spray atmosphere. Therefore, it can be widely used in the manufacture of aircraft engine parts, aerospace structural parts and chemical equipment.
Application areas: Soft annealed low carbon alloy 625 is widely used in the chemical process industry. Good corrosion resistance and high strength make it suitable for thinner structural parts. 625 alloy can be used in places where it is exposed to seawater and subjected to high mechanical stress. Typical application areas:
1. Components of organic chemical processes containing chlorides, especially when using acidic chloride catalysts
2. Digesters and bleaching tanks for pulp and paper industry
3. Absorption tower, reheater, flue gas inlet baffle, fan (humid), agitator, guide plate and flue in flue gas desulfurization system
4. Used in the manufacture of equipment and components for use in sour gas environments
5. Acetic acid and acetic anhydride reaction generator

Inconel 718 alloy is a precipitation-hardened nickel-chromium-iron alloy containing niobium and molybdenum. It has high strength, good toughness and corrosion resistance in both high and low temperature environments below 650°C. It can be supplied in solution treated or precipitation hardened state.
Similar grades: GH4169, GH169 (China), NC19FeNb (France), NiCr19Fe19Nb5, Mo3 (Germany), NA 51 (UK) Inconel718, UNS NO7718 (USA) NiCr19Nb5Mo3 (ISO).
